Redmi Pad 2 has launched in India this week, making it the latest Android tablet in the mid-range to focus on delivering a compact screen experience. The new Redmi Pad model is powered by a MediaTek 4G chipset which should help in pricing it lower than the rivals and also brings a large capacity battery to keep you going. Redmi is offering it with the new HyperOS version out of the box and you get a high refresh rate display.

Redmi Pad 2 price in India starts at Rs 13,999 for the base 4GB + 128GB Wi-Fi model, and if you want the 4G version with 6GB + 128GB storage, it costs you Rs 15,999. The highest 4G variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 17,999. Redmi Pad 2 will be available from June 24 in the country.

Redmi Pad 2 gets a 11.5-inch 10-bit display with 90Hz refresh rate, 2.5K resolution and wet touch support. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. You get the tablet with the Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 version out of the box.
The tablet comes with an 8MP rear and a 5MP front camera for video calls. It also has a quad speaker system with Dolby Atmos support. Redmi is offering a keyboard and stylus to work with the Pad 2 tablet. It packs a 9000mAh battery that supports 18W wired charging speed. The tablet only offers 4G support, but also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3.5mm headphone jack.
Like most recent launches, Redmi Pad 2 lets you use AI features like Circle to Search and Gemini AI chatbot from Google. The tablet weighs around 510 grams which makes it easy to carry even with a large sized battery under the hood.
