BSNL 5G Service Launched In India And It Works Without A SIM: Know More

BSNL 5G has launched in India thanks to the new Quantum 5G Fixed Wireless Access service network that works without a SIM or a mobile device. The operator claims the 5G FWA internet will offer a high-speed internet network without the hassle of cables and other standard equipment. BSNL 5G is only available in select circles for now, but it is good to see the company offer 5G at some level in the country.
BSNL 5G Without SIM: Price In India And How It Works
The BSNL 5G FWA service is priced at Rs 999 per month which gives you 100 Mbps data speed. You can also consider going for the higher Rs 1,499 plan that promises data speeds up to 300 Mbps.
How BSNL Q-5G FWA Works
BSNL seems to be targeting the tier-ii and tier iii cities where the optical fibre network is limited and using the FWA 5G service allows the company to operate at a scale. The operator is relying on the Q-5G network to deliver high-speed networks to areas where the connection is unreliable, which makes businesses and homeowners struggle with high-speed internet connectivity.
So, how does the BSNL Q-5G internet service work? The operator will offer a Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) on the roof of the subscribers home and make it work through a router to deliver 5G data speeds. You can get more details about the installation cost and other steps from the BSNL website.
Essentially the new BSNL 5G service works like any other wireless broadband service but having the equipment is what helps the operator claim to offer these high data speeds. Having said that, BSNL’s 5G service will not let you make voice calls and the feature is not supported by the Q-5G FWA service from the company.
Other than BSNL, we have Vodafone Idea (Vi) also entering the 5G arena in recent months. The operator has even launched its 5G services in the Delhi NCR region, along with Mumbai, Patna, Chandigarh and Bengaluru to name a few with more to be added in the coming months.
