Nothing Phone 3’s 50-Megapixel Periscope Lens Is ‘Built For Creators’

Nothing Phone 3 will be rolled out soon. And, the company is going all out to keep the hype, teasing new aspects of the flagship model. Now, the latest aspect rolled out by the brand is that the Phone 3 will have multiple cameras. Touted to be the brand’s first true flagship, the upcoming smartphone will house a 50-megapixel periscope lens and is apparently built for creators.

In a teaser shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), the company revealed, “Phone (3) with 50 MP periscope lens. Built for creators."

In a follow-up tweet, the brand shared a carousel of photos of random objects. Presumably shot from the Phone 3, the company aimed to show off its impressive zoom, including telemacro capability. Fans eagerly await to see if the Phone 3 will feature more cameras or if the company will drop the ultrawide in favour of a telephoto.

This is now the first aspect the company has revealed through social media posts. Previously, Nothing unveiled some other specifications of Phone 3. The first one the brand confirmed is introducing the Glyph matrix layout, killing its Glyph interface LED lights. The promo suggests it will be placed at one end of the phone towards the top, though its exact functionality still remains under wraps.

Another big reveal was that the Phone 3 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and not the 8 Elite, promising up to 49 per cent faster performance, especially in terms of GPU power. Nothing cofounder and currently its India head, Akis Evangelidis, revealed that the chipset is Qualcomm’s latest top-tier chip with an all-big core setup, making it even more efficient.

Nothing Phone 3 will be unveiled in the global markets, including India, on July 1, at a special launch event in London. Once out, interested buyers can buy it on Flipkart in the country.

At the event, the brand is also expected to introduce its first-ever over-the-ear headphones, the Nothing Headphone 1, to the market. On the same day, the tech giant will also conduct an India-focused briefing where the Phone 3 price and other details will be shared.
