Adobe Brings Photoshop App For iPhone Users With New AI Features

Adobe has officially launched its Photoshop app for iPhone users worldwide, bringing a range of powerful design, editing and AI-driven features previously available only on desktops. The app, which was earlier exclusive to iPads, now allows iPhone users to access some of the most advanced editing tools offered by the US-based software giant, delivering a seamless mobile editing experience.
Additionally, the app includes cutting-edge AI features like Generative Fill and Generative Expand, powered by Adobe's Firefly AI model. These tools enable users to add or remove content from images and expand them effortlessly using simple text prompts, making professional-level editing more accessible on mobile devices.
The new Photoshop app for iPhone goes beyond AI features, offering essential editing tools such as layering, masking, and access to Adobe assets—just like the desktop version. However, some advanced features may require a Premium subscription.
According to the company, the app for iOS features an easy-to-use mobile interface that allows creators to make changes while on the go. The mobile software, like its desktop counterpart, has capabilities for picture editing and design, such as precise selections, focused edits, and advanced colour correction. The free option provides customers with 5GB of cloud storage for their modifications.
Users can make unique designs by combining, compositing and blending photos using selections, layers and masks. The Spot Healing Brush tool removes distracting components, while the Tap Select tool removes, replaces or re-colours sections of an image.
Also, users will have the option to use a free library of Adobe Stock components to enhance their photographs. It also integrates directly with other Adobe creative tools such as Adobe Express, Adobe Fresco and Adobe Lightroom, allowing users to export photographs to the aforementioned platforms.
The company will be releasing an Android version of the app soon. Although the app is free to use on iOS, its several features come with an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. In India, it costs Rs 799 per month and Rs 6,900 per year for the new Photoshop Mobile and Web plan.
