Google Pixel 9a To Get 7 Years Of Updates, Pricing Could Be Same As Pixel 8a

The Pixel 9a from Google is expected to be available in stores later this month. Several leaks that have lately surfaced have shown the hardware, design, and US pricing of the Pixel 8a successor, even though Google has not yet announced a launch date for the new Pixel A series phone.
The Pixel 9a is expected to be launched by Google on March 19, and pre-orders may start the same day with reports hinting at a sale date of March 26 in various regions.
According to a recent leak, the price of the Pixel 9a will be comparable to that of its predecessor. The new Pixel model is reportedly going to get a 48MP dual rear camera unit and powered by the same Tensor G4 chipset as the premium models.
Pixel 9a Price Leak
The Pixel 9a with 128GB of storage is tipped to be priced at GBP 499 (Rs 55,000 approx) in the UK and $499 (Rs 43,000 approx) in the US, according to a report by Android Headlines. The higher 256GB storage model, as per the report, is likely to cost $599 (Rs 52,000 approx). Going by these figures, we don’t expect a major price bump for the Pixel 9a model which is definitely a good sign.
The base model of the Pixel 9a costs EUR 549 (Rs 50,000 approx) in countries like Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, while the 256GB storage option costs EUR 649.
According to reports, the 128GB and 256GB storage editions of the phone will cost CAD 679 (Rs 42,000 approx) and CAD 809 (Rs 50,000 approx) in Canada, respectively. In addition, it will reportedly cost EUR 559 (Rs 50,000 approx) for 128GB and EUR 659 (about Rs 60,000) for 256GB in Ireland.

According to earlier leaks, the Pixel 9a is expected to include a 6.28-inch screen protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It is likely to be powered by a Tensor G4 processor with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM.
As per reports, it would include two cameras on the back: a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 48-megapixel primary camera. It will reportedly come with Android 15, and Google is probably going to give the phone seven years of OS updates.
It is anticipated that the Pixel 9a will have a 5,100mAh battery that supports both 7.5W wireless and 23W cable charging. According to reports, the device is likely to get IP68 rating for dust and water protection.
