Pixel 9a Is Launching Soon But Google Has This Warning For Pixel 4a Users

Pixel 4a users have got a recall notice from Google in select regions which comes with a major warning related to their phone’s battery. The company had released a Battery Performance Update earlier this year, which was supposed to improve its efficiency but ended up cutting down the life further.
In fact, some people even saw their Phone 4a battery drain out faster than ever. Now, the recall by Google in Australia comes with more details about the update and what exactly happened that caused these issues.
Pixel 4a Battery Issue, Recall Tells Us Why
Google had noticed that Pixel 4a users were facing battery issues and the update was going to improve the stability of the battery performance on the device. But the brand also hinted the update could result in the battery life getting shorter between charges, which explains the reason for the select recall.
The new development says the Pixel 4a users have seen their battery’s maximum voltage drop by around 56 percent in charging. Google clearly seems to have realised this is the main cause for the severe battery drain. The company had said an update was offered to stop this from happening but now the impact of this update has invariably forced Google to issue a recall and fix the problem for the select Pixel 4a owners.
Google had set conditions for the device to be eligible for the new battery, which includes not having the phone with heavy out-of-warranty damages, which would incur a fee to fix them before they change the battery on the unit. And between all this, the company is reportedly preparing to launch a new Pixel a-series model in the form of Pixel 9a later this month. Multiple leaks and recent product clips have strongly hinted at an early launch this year, and even the promise of 7 OS upgrades for the mid-range Pixel model.
