Pixel 9a Will Not Be Available At Stores This Month: Here’s What Google Has Said

Pixel 9a was introduced in the market earlier this month and many expected Google to have it available on shelves in the next few days. But the company has been forced to delay its sale date to April because of some issues that Google has discovered in the Pixel 9a units that were about to be shipped later this week.
The new Pixel 9a model goes up against the new iPhone 16E but many other supposedly affordable flagships that you can buy for Rs 50,000 in the market. But the new delay is definitely a small hit for the company’s ambitions with the product.
Pixel 9a Sale Delayed But Why?
Google usually keeps these issues to itself but the company has officially shared a note with some media folks, where it says, “We are currently investigating a component quality issue affecting a small number of Pixel 9a devices." While Google does not explain the issue and how it affects the Pixel 9a units, we are pleased to see the company acknowledge the problem and decided to push its availability rather than ship it with the issues.
Google will have the Pixel 9a model available in a slew of countries, including India, but we feel the fact that the issue only affects a small number of units, Google should be able to fix them in the next few weeks. The company’s new April timeline for Pixel 9a sale still does not have a definite date, which should become clearer soon.
